71 to 73 rear drum brakes differences

Hi,

could you guys share your wisdom please. What's the difference of the rear brakes from early to late 240Z's

Found separate listings for backing plates and for cylinders.

Could find some google knowledge on the cylinders, they differ in the point where the brake line enters the cylinder.

Or is there anything else?

But what could be the difference of the backing plate??

Why I'm asking? I'm searching for parts for my 73 240Z

I think that the backing plates are the same. The location where the hard metal line connects on the wheel cylinder is different and the hard metal line is different. I was able to bend the hard line (early?) a little to get it to connect to the other (later?) wheel cylinder. You can do that or get the matching hard line/wheel cylinder.

I think the backing plates are basically identical except for the mounting point for the hardline changed somewhere around mid 72. Thats when they altered the hardline entry point in the wheel cylinders.

After aug 76 the wheel cylinders changed again and the backing plates.
