Mine stopped working on my garage door. Fortunately it stopped in the open position.

I bought a Schlage with no fancy junk to replace it.

After doing some net research the Weisers are insecure and are prone to failing like mine did.

My recommendation is to avoid Weiser.

They're only as secure as the door frame anyway. A good master key is a sledgehammer, opens them right up.

Yeah metal door frames with cement filling behind them, that's pretty secure.  But then you have the windows to worry about.

I sort of have the same mentality. I have one of those but prefer a .45 and I have 2 Great Danes right inside the front door...

I'm not worried about locks myself.  I have 4 dogs, shotguns, etc.... If none of those work,  meet my wife after I show her the Z receipts. (just kidding)

That's something I really miss about my old dog, her bark. Very aggressive sounding but she was a big ole baby.

School kids cut through my yard and when she was outside all you could see of them was butt holes and elbows as they ran.
