 Going to give him a call first and ask specifically about those parts and let you know if they're available.. Big windstorm coming in today. I'll take a look at it Tues. or Wed. and report back.

Here are the first pics of the 71. He says the console is pretty bad and no mention about the heater core.

 looks like many good parts avail. Makin a list.  Judging by the pics alone, It looks like a saveable chassis. What a shame it's been picked over..

Bring it home. Bring it home. It needs a forever family. It's Christmas! It can't be alone at this time of year.

 It could make so much sense to bring it home. I still have my orig. 71. Body was beyond repair when it came off the road in 96. All there except for a couple of parts that went to members. I think I'm gonna have trouble sleeping tonight.

Shame to see an early 240z like this, it would be a further shame if it got scrapped.

If you are able to resist the voices...

 

This one looks like it has a mix of Series 1 and Series 2 features.  If it's got the chrome 'button' style coat hooks on the B pillars, I'd like those.  If you need anything from a 72, I have a small store of spare parts that might produce the basis for a parts swap.

 

Don't forget to check to see if the aluminum door sill plates are still there.  If they're the 'Datsun' logo type and in restorable condition, you might be able to sell them for a fair chunk of change.

 

Love the 'forced entry' technique used by someone to get the rear hatch open!
