Posted January 7, 20169 yr comment_484100 Just bought a 1987 Nissan 300zx n/a. I love and its a well preserved car. I did some maintenance work on it and discovered this empty reservoir. I thought it might be windshield washer fluid but the car already has 2 reservoirs. (Headlight and main) I have a picture pointing to the reservoir (not my engine Google helped me as I'm working). I hoping someone can help this noobie out Edited January 7, 20169 yr by attallaguy Clarity Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/53075-i-need-to-know-what-this-fluid-reservoir-is/ Share on other sites
January 7, 20169 yr comment_484101 Is it connected to the radiator?  Looks like an engine coolant overflow tank. BTW, post some pics of your car in the gallery.  I'd like to see this new turbo Z of yours... Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/53075-i-need-to-know-what-this-fluid-reservoir-is/#findComment-484101 Share on other sites
January 7, 20169 yr Author comment_484102 My z is a naturally aspirated. This is a pic I ripped of google cause I work now. The reservoir is the same as my z. It doesn't look like its connected to the rad so I can't tell if its the radiator overflow reservoir or not. But I was confused it was empty. I will definitely post some pics tommorow. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/53075-i-need-to-know-what-this-fluid-reservoir-is/#findComment-484102 Share on other sites
January 7, 20169 yr comment_484103 Ok sounds good! Â I'd encourage you to look at where the tubes are going when you get home. Â May need to pull out the LED flashlight and do some searching.. Â Can't wait to see the pics. January 7, 20169 yr comment_484109 Attalla?  I live near Attalla, Alabama! I believe it is an overflow jug.  Here's one similar on ebay.com,  http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/221690584990?item=221690584990&lgeo=1&vectorid=229466&rmvSB=true Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/53075-i-need-to-know-what-this-fluid-reservoir-is/#findComment-484109 Share on other sites
