I’m so deeply sadden to hear that David Bowie died of cancer yesterday. I just want to express my emotions. He is truly a great talented musician. I still remember when I was a kid in mid 70s the first time listening to his album “Young Americans”.

I named my 1972 Datsun 240Z “Ziggy” based on his song “Ziggy Stardust” because when I bought the Z it had one original Koito headlamp and the other was another brand. The lights were two different colour and it reminded me of David Bowie’s distinctive eye colour.

R.I.P. David Bowie

He went out in style with a new album and video released last Friday - must have known the end was very near and had been "sitting on it" waiting for the right time.  Video has him in a hospital bed and lyrics mention "look up here, I'm in heaven".  Way to go!

Eerie coincidence? We went to a bar Saturday night to see a friend's band. At one point the guitarist said for some unknown reason he felt like playing some David Bowie. He then did a great version of Ziggy Stardust.

R.I.P. David Bowie. Your music lives on.
