jalexquijano Posted January 18, 2016 Share #1 Posted January 18, 2016 I am about to order a Pertronix coil model 40511 which is 3.0 ohms to be used with a Pertronix 1761 ignitor module installed in my distributor. I was wondering if it was better to go for the 1.5 ohms versión and connect it to the stock ballast resistor as it would protect the coil from overheating? Any recommendations on this. SurferD Posted January 20, 2016 Share #2 Posted January 20, 2016 (edited) I got a 91761 ignitor2 and flame thrower2 coil and wow the car runs so much better. No need for the resistor or cap. If you can swing a little extra get the microporcessor controlled unit. Edited January 20, 2016 by SurferD
