November 10, 20186 yr comment_561328 Just realized I never posted pics of Derek's speaker pods installed on my 280Z with the Polk Audio 5.25" speakers. The sound in my car is outstanding and the new front speaker placement balances my system very nicely. November 11, 20186 yr comment_561376 I bought a set for my 78 Z. With the Polk Audio DB 522 the clutch pedal arm lightly contacts the speaker on the drivers side. I'll be removing the stock ECM so I hope to be able to move it some when that happens. They do sound very good. Dave I don't think the ECM removal will grant you more space since the pod itself can only be pushed in so far. I took my Dremel and carefully filed down the edge of the Polk Audio speaker grill where the clutch pedal contacted until it was clear. I only removed about 1/8" of plastic. I'll try to take a pic and post for you. You adjust the clutch M/Cyl threaded push-rod and the Clutch pedal stop.
