March 27, 200322 yr comment_31552 Mike did not tell you that the whoosh-inhibitor is connected to the wobulator shaft - Check the bearings on that while you check the whoosh-inhibitor. March 27, 200322 yr Author comment_31692 I just installed a new fan clutch and the noise is gone. The engine revs a little easier than before, too. Thanks to everyone for all of the help. March 27, 200322 yr comment_31693 Good move. I had this same problem and the new clutch turned my car into a totally different vehicle! The performance was a lot better because the engine didn't need to push the fan all the time. You'll notice that your temp guage will run slightly hotter as well.
