Posted November 16, 200123 yr comment_1141 I've got a 72 240z. The drivers side floor board needs to be replaced completly and the passenger side needs a fairly small section replaced. Other than that the frame rails all look to be in good condition. Just how much structural integrity do the floor pans provide? Can I run an autocross with them in this condition? I don't want to cause any other damage. Thanks,Chad Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/532-can-i-autocross-with-bad-floorboards/ Share on other sites
November 28, 200123 yr comment_1202 No. That would be a bad idea. The floorboards are a major part of any unibody car's structure!Mike Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/532-can-i-autocross-with-bad-floorboards/#findComment-1202 Share on other sites
November 28, 200123 yr comment_1205 Make sure you keep your feet on the pedals!! I think I would be inclined to fix them.Ernest Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/532-can-i-autocross-with-bad-floorboards/#findComment-1205 Share on other sites
December 1, 200123 yr comment_1266 Ya, I wouldn't run any kind of race w/out floorboards. That would be nuts. What if you slipped and your foot hit the ground? No way.... Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/532-can-i-autocross-with-bad-floorboards/#findComment-1266 Share on other sites
