Most accurate air cleaner decals

Hardway

Recommended Posts

A few months ago I picked up a correct non-flapper air cleaner that needs a full restoration.  Once done I would like to affix the correct decals to it.  I know several vendors offer these decals but I just received a set from a vendor and they were not the silver Mylar material that the originals seem to be made of.  The one I received is a dull gray vinyl and the seller is already working with me to refund my money.  My question is, where have you guys bought your decals recently and what is your opinion or satisfaction level of them?  I realize material and ink process may have changed from the originals but I would like the decals to look and feel as close to original as possible.  I don't mind pony'ing up the money for a good set, I just don't want to waste time and money on something that is not right.  Any input and pictures are greatly appreciated!

I agree with Guy and the others, Banzai's decals are the closest thing to the original. The only issue that I have with Mike at Banzai is that he doesn't accept PayPal. That would really speed up the delivery process for his customers and in turn, he would get paid a lot quicker as well.

Guy, you did a fantastic job on your air filter box, it looks beautiful!

Thanks Steve.......They are easy to restore......get some steel wool, a can of good quality spray paint in Chevy Orange, good primer and a lot of quality masking tape, and of course some quality stickers from Mike!  He has all the other stickers needed to do radiators etc. etc.......and all those little details make a heck of a difference under the hood. You, Hardway, Motorman7 and many others on this forum can attest to that!

Paypal or Creditcard - Then I could order stuff as well. Who uses mail order these days and cheques don't work for me either
