January 29, 20169 yr comment_485632 That worked. Using the chain "link" icon, I get a text "link. Using Share or copying the actual url from youtube, I get the big window. Windows 7, Chrome, desk top computer. BUT!. Just can't win. The link now takes me to youtube, as desired, but starts a 30 second ad. The whole ad has to play. Crap. It "should" be converting the link to an embedded player right after you paste it. Not sure why it's not working for just your account (it looks like). I'm going to try and do this from one of my standard user accounts to see if it's a permissions thing. m Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/53202-test/?&page=2#findComment-485641 Share on other sites
January 29, 20169 yr comment_485642 Trying Barts link (url bar) from a user account with member permissions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HML-cWNoLu4 Trying link from the shortened share link: https://youtu.be/HML-cWNoLu4 Now testing with the embedded player code: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/HML-cWNoLu4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/HML-cWNoLu4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/53202-test/?&page=2#findComment-485642 Share on other sites
January 29, 20169 yr Author comment_485643 Hmm, doesn't look like a permissions limitation in the user-group. Both long URL (copied from the URL bar) and the short URL (from the share link on Youtube) both seemed to work. The embed code didn't work but isn't what we are testing. I've got this escalated to see what I can do to fix it... Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/53202-test/?&page=2#findComment-485643 Share on other sites
