ROFL ROFL ROFL

I thought this one was good enough to share with everyone.

I just might try it out on any damn fool who

tries demonstrating on ANZAC DAY.

SOMETHING FOR THE HIPPIES TO THINK ABOUT.

Next time someone questions our probable actions:

1) Approach an ignorant student talking about "peace" and saying

"there

should be no retaliation."

2) Have a brief conversation, and ask if the military force is

appropriate.

3) When he says "No," ask "Why not?"

4) When he says, "because that would cause more innocent deaths,

which

would be awful, and we should not cause more violence."

5) Punch him hard in the face...(nose hurts more)

6) When he gets up to punch you back, point out that it would be a

mistake, and contrary to his values to punch you as he would be just

increasing violence.

7) When he agrees that he has pledged not to commit violence, punch

him

in the face again....harder this time.

Repeat steps 2 through 7 until he understands that sometimes it is

necessary to punch back!

Rick.

Hell at 6'7, I'll give it a try. Might be useful to get rid of that damn rent a crowd of arts students who have parked themselves on the uni lawns, striking from school and uni in a protest against war.

Its amazing the lengths some people will go to to get a free saussage sizzle, I can see no other reason why they would be there. :stupid:

Lachlan,

Since you are a student, I have to ask, from which point of view would you be Not trying it out.

LOL LOL LOL

z kid,

Mate, the way I look at it, every single one of them has the right to protest, BUT, they do NOT have the right to protest with VIOLENCE.

I often wonder if any of them consider what previous generations of Australians had to endure in order for them to HAVE the right to protest.

Rick.

I have no objections to them protesting, as long as they know what they are protesting about. However the vast majority of them are nothing more than sereal protestors in it for the cheap thrill, you see them week in week out protesting about one thing or another.

On a lighter note, at the first big anti war protest they had in adelaide i got punched, merely for stating my opinion, and on pointing out the irony of a violent peace protest they swung again, i swear to god, if it hadn't been a 15 year old schoolgirl i would have fought back, assuming i could stop laughing for long enough. ROFL

PS I Don't think lachlan would try it, becuase from memory, hes a little chap who might just get pounded into the ground

Having served in the U.S. Air Force, I'll toss in my two cents:

I fully support their right to have and voice an opinion. In fact, one of the credos we lived by in the Air Force was: I will defend to the death your right to freedom of speech, whether it agrees with mine or not.

That said, there is an addendum that needs to be explained: Your right does not overrule MY right, nor any other person's right.

Your right to protest is important, that you must block traffic, break windows, disrupt business and otherwise infringe OTHER people in their rightful pursuit of their business, in order to express your protest, is NOT. That is why the police are there to stop you, not from protesting, but from infringing upon other people's rights. When you see a police officer standing by your protest, don't automatically assume he's there to STOP you, he might be there to DEFEND you. Especially if you're trying to protest in an area where your protest would not be well received.

Go ahead and protest. That's your right. If, however, the ONLY way you can draw attention to your cause is by disrupting traffic, creating havoc and terror amongst the populace, then there are two things you must be made aware of: 1) the majority of those who see you, do NOT agree with you; that's why they're ignoring, avoiding, and otherwise walking by; 2) If mayhem is the way to be noticed, how do you differentiate yourself from terrorists?

"I often wonder if any of them consider what previous generations of Australians had to endure in order for them to HAVE the right to protest.

What for example (apart from WW2)?"

"i swear to god, if it hadn't been a 15 year old schoolgirl i would have fought back" - so you're not for sexual equality ?

Anyway, if we're gonna punch ignorant students, better pick on small ones like our countries do !

I am definitely for peaceful protests, the way to change things is to threaten those in power with whom you're gonna vote for next which unfortunately leaves out frustrated macho 15 year old girls !

The ones I feel sorry for are the employees of McDonalds - they're always the first to get hit and the poor sods are only trying to earn their bread/rice/sushi depending where they are !

McDos' insurance must be astronomical !

If you feel really strong about it, all branches of the military are accepting applications. They could use a few more big strong men. Your statement makes you sound like just the type the Marines want.

Hey Dozer171. How about you go over there to give them a hand. Your local recruiter is probably looking for more canon fodder. Looks like the opportunity to eat sand and c rats and get shot at may be open for awhile.
