Rick forgot to mention that is the Australian Navy guns that are firing on the targets when the British Army are requesting artillery support. Compliments of Her Majesty's Australian Ship (HMAS) Anzac.

They are also utilising HMAS Kanimbla as the fleet command post leading approx 8 US/UK ships due to its advanced radar and guidance systems that can support ground force and air assaults. It also acts as a processing station for the POW's when necessary.

Our contributions are small due to our nation's size, but hell they are bloody good. We can't produce quantity so we concentrate on quality.

We Aussies don't like to shout from the roof tops about the things we do but it is frustrating that we don't get an acknowledgement. In fairness, George W invited our Prime Minister over to the US to join Tony Blair for the brieifing yesterday but he refused stating he needed to be on home turf during the fight.

Maybe George has our PM on speed dial now??

Definition of a feral woman

Ahhhh - looks like she has just come down from the mountains, usually young and nubile, with firm ummmmm calf muscles :D and in good need of a hose down.

1 Bravo 6,

Please accept my apologies for not including Australia along with the US/UK. :stupid: I was trying to put into words so many thoughts last night that I let the fact that you Aussies are involved just as much as the US and the UK are slip. You Aussies have as much or more stones than anyone and have my complete respect. I did'nt mean to slight your involvement in the least bit and have been aware of what you are doing in this fight. I guess I just let it all get to me last night. If I ever meet any of you at a car show, event etc. I'm buying a brew for the lot of you. And yes many Americans realize what you are doing and what good friends you are to us. Take care.:classic:

ROFLLOL

Metalman,

No offence taken mate, just a gentle reminder as our small force tends to become lost amongst the tens of thousands of servicemen and women.

FRIENDS don't need to apologise to each other mate.

One day I just might take you up on your offer of a beer. From what I remember, Budweiser was like soft drink to us Aussies. Our booze had a much higher alcohol content so we could drink your booze all night and still find our way home in the dark.

We had to practically carry you septic tanks home.

Rick.

Yeah, the Australians have always backed us up. Must be our similar heritage: the caucasian Americans descended from a bunch of malcontents, including tax evaders and religious extremists(otherwise known as pilgrims), and the Aussies descended from the penal colonies. England was glad to be rid of us. Those dangerous genetics may be one reason these two countries are such risk takers and why we feel like brethren. Hope Americans will remember the loyalty and can return it tenfold someday.

Crikey Lachlan,

It's a good thing you're well edified mate or you JUST might have spelled that word ending in "I.L.E." instead of "A.L."

As for a "penAL" heritage, the first of my clan to set both feet on good old Aussie terra firma had those feet encumbered with CHAINS. Do you think that might have something do with the fact that I hate travelling by boat????????????

Rick.
