It was the 2 GALLONS of "plastibond" that set off red flags for me.

Sounds like he wants you to fund other projects in his shop. He's getting sandpaper from another customer

because 1/2 yard of sandpaper aint gonna go far.

and.. i hope that roll of wire is for a wire feed welder. If not, then 2 gallons of bondo and baling wire sends shivers up my spine

You can get por-15 in mexico and have it shipped to you. With all the maritime shipping traffic in panama i find it hard to believe you

can't find it locally. I think you just have to look harder.

Okay! Just ordered the following kit of POR-15 through a contact i have in Miami:

and a can of blue paint for the engine!

Will i need some other POR-15 product?

Get that por15 on all tha body rust asap.

outside the tank only? or should i rinse the tank and clean it inside? i dont manage to see any rust on the clear fuel filter. Please advise!

Okay! Just purchased all the materials and will be receiving a POR-15  floor pan and kit tomorrow as i got a contact who got it for me overseas:

The car will be painted with PPG 904 Grand Prix White paint as it was originally done in January 1972. I have posted the following pics of the car in order to get some opinions on how should the paint job be carried out. Will the car need to be sanded fully down to bare metal with sand paper, paint remover and brush? When, where and how is the POR-15 applied?

Furthermore, do you think it is necessary to also purchase some new door striker plates and bolts, rear hatch door stoppers, driver and passenger door latch alignment dovetails?  Anyway of painting the engine bay without putting the engine down?
