UPDATES! Cleaned out the sludge and changed the oil filter as well. That was about 3 weeks ago and the oil still looks good and the coolant level still hasn't dropped, so it's safe to say it wasn't a coolant leak or anything. As of today, the Z is finally insured and fully registered to drive on the roads. It's running a little rich but I guess I'll have to keep tuning and check the fuel pressure regulator. I did get a Magnaflow exhaust installed and am waiting on my 2nd fender mirror to arrive, and I'm happy!  But here are some pics! I took it to the local forest preserve to take some pictures as well.

Can you tell us a bit about that front valance and grill mod? Looks really interesting and unique.

+1 on that stretched scooter. Cool baby, yeah!

Thanks guys! And yes it's running a little rich. The previous owner actually molded the front valence together and put the lower half of a GMC Yukon grill on there. A little weird, but I like it, so it's staying on for now.

check resistance of the water temp sender at the ECU connection per the FSM for the rich running, assuming the FPR is working correctly.

Thanks for the advice. It's definitely on my to-do list now if it might help it run better.

What model muffler is it and do you like the sound. If you're in the northern burbs I'd love to hear it in person

PMG

It is the Magnaflow 14832 muffler. I'm in the Northwest suburbs if you ever wanna meet up and chat about cars!

the water temp sensor is the main one (next to the AFM) for setting the fuel mixture, you need to check the chart for the ambient temp to see what the resistance should be.

Thanks for the info, I'll be sure to check it out. My temperature gauge doesn't work either so I have to check that as well.

Cool. I'm in the Schaumburg Inverness area. How's the sound?

PMG

I'm in the Des Plaines area. Its really quiet at idle but once it gets to about 4k it gets a lot louder.
