Compatible Wiper Blades for 240Z

ZKarz sent me some windscreen wiper arms, but I need some blades for them.  "240Z" blades are very expensive, so is there a compatible make &model of automobile that I can use as a reference?  Universal wiper blades  don't seem to look right, because they are black, and the old stuff looked like stainless steel, correct?

Has anyone tried the frame-less blades, like the beam blades?

Those are just the rubber refills, and I would like the metal blade body too.

I looked around at some  import suppliers (mrfiat.com) and it looks like most cars in the 60s, like Mustang, Camaro, Fiat, MG, etc., used the metal blades. Still, at Autozone, etc., you will find the black plastic  stuff.  If you look around, some of the metal blades, like the Mustang ones, are slightly less expensive, only $20 each.

I use Trico 44-180 refill blades in mine. O'Reillys has them, $4 a set.

hey site - do these fit the original sst 240z wipers? i got a set of them for my 280 (i like the polished sst vs the black) and i tried buying some replacements i found at orielly's and pulling out the rubber blades to swap into mine, but they were too narrow to be held in place by the 240 armature. the 240 assemblies came with rubber blades that had a pair of thin sst strips on each side of the rubber blade and locked into the armature. been looking for the right refills to use...

I've put them into both my 240s with no problems, they slid right in.  And they don't have those metal strips like the old ones.

Here's amazon.com fittment page, http://www.amazon.com/Trico-44-180-Plastic-Blade-Refill/dp/B000CB3X8S/ref=au_as_r?_encoding=UTF8&Make=Nissan%7C67&Model=240Z%7C2284&Year=1972%7C1972&ie=UTF8&n=15684181&newVehicle=1&s=automotive&vehicleId=1&vehicleType=automotive

Well my old brain ain't what it never was, right.  They're $7.49 at O'reilly's. Sorry.

For my 73, I ordered from Courtesy, new OEM Nissan 'Blade Assy-Wipe ' B6370-E4100,  they are 18 inches long.

That's good.  If I can get the bayonet adapters, I can use the 280Z blades as spares.  Ironically, nissanpartscheap.com has the highest prices, but only about $1 higher.  The other vendors were about the same; $11.80

CourtesyParts doesn't have a photo of the part, and every other vendor has them in black plastic.  Can you just assume the Courtesy Part blades are the stainless steel ones? I sent an message with no reply...

Otherwise you can just use a bayonet-mount blade of 18 inches....   Is there any other source of stainless steel wiper blades besides Nissan?  Blades for a vintage Mustang, Alpha, Fiat, etc. are similar but not long enough.

There it is...   ANCO makes the wiper blade in the correct design, but they are painted BLACK.  I suppose I could strip off the paint?    My current 280Z wiper blades are the right kind, so I'll try stripping the paint from those...
