it is dark and just went out to move my datsun into the garage. i turned on the lights for the first time and the dash lights stayed off. is there a separtate switch? and if there is where is it?:stupid: tks

It might help if you state the car model.

I'd say there is no seperate switch. Check the dimmer (?). If that fails check your fuse. If that fails, take it to an electrician to check your wiring.

The dimmer switch is located to the right of the steering wheel under the dash, below the tach.

i am kinda wondering what that round switch is for, i thought it is for the defogger at the back. thanks.

try fiddling w/the headlight switch. from time to time my dash lights go out (which also keeps the rear running lights out) and i have to fiddle the headlight switch just a tiny bit. time for me to put in that other switch i got for it....
