i started tearing into my suspension and found this. i am aiming this question toward the guys that are not familiar with brakes. i know some will spot the problem right off, so let the in-experienced have a guess, ok?

No scratches on the mounting bolts so I guess this really is the way you found it!  Lucky to have working brakes - or, do they work?

i never had a chance to drive the car. the p.o. replaced all the brakes.

You can bleed out the air when you find the,

an·tip·o·dal
anˈtipədl/
adjective
  1. relating to or situated on the opposite side of the earth   ROFL

Looks like the previous owner did the same thing I did, put the calipers on the wrong sides.  Bleeder port needs to be on top not bottom.  Will not bleed right with bleeder port on bottom.  You will need to swap the calipers.

The PO always laid the car on his back...to clean the undercarriage and bleed the brakes!  ROFL

No top damage. PO must have lived near Mt. Flatten and found the upsidaisium.
