I finally got around to painting my TL finisher panels and license plate light, here's how it turned out.  I'm quite pleased with the results.

 

Here is a pic comparing the new color to an unrestored original hubcap:

 

And one comparing the same hubcap with my unrestored original grill and a license plate light body painted in the new color:

It looks great!  You can see some spotting on mine.  Maybe if wasn't using the flash they wouldn't have shown up so obvious?

I do think the Dupli-Color you found is better for what we're doing.  The next one I paint will be with the "Ford color Dark Shadow Gray".

My red one is a lot different looking.  It had already been painted when I bought the car.

Thanks @siteunseen and @psdenno for the nice comments.  Also just want to mention that the DC color Dark Shadow Gray does have a small amount of fine metallic that can be seen in the sun, but after I applied the matte clear it is virtually unnoticeable.
