Does anyone have access to Nissan Fast? I wanted to get the part numbers for the clutches and plates that go in the 1988 300zx clutch LSDiff.

Does anyone know of an alternative to the Nissan parts? I know HybridZ had a group buy for plates a few years back

I found an online manual for the 88 300zx and it had the differential procedures for testing, break away torque and reconditioning

Seems like some of the hardbody differential parts might be interchangeable

Pffttt! Depressing...

Any way the car is still out of the shop and covered up and the Goon is occupying premium space but I did tinker a little today.

I pulled together about 20#'s of metal to go to the platers. It's an experiment. I did very little prep work other than degreasing. We'll see what I get back.

I also worked on one of the Cv axle halfshafts for the CLSD rear end. It's been sitting on my bench for almost 2 years. I found these numbers on the hub. Might be useful or cross-referenceable

So I got the plating back

I have the car back in the shop and the goons back outside.  I hope to have color on it this fall before it gets too cold

Blocking panels and wet sanding to 600 grit

I have a number of them ready for color. Most of them were pretty close to ready before I got pushed out of the shop by the Goon a while back. I may roll the chassis outside tomorrow and shoot some epoxy on it. We'll see

So brought the car inside and cleaned it up. Used some Ospho on it. Then a couple of days later I sanded it all with 320 on a DA.

So I realized that I might get some over spray on the headliner, which I installed while it was on the rotisserie. Then got it wrapped up

So all wrapped up and was going to spray some epoxy but the idiot running the shop forgot to check if we had some!!

Wish I could sometimes! Me, myself and I are the only three working on this thing 😉

As a note, I jambed out the car with single stage but after ruminating on it for a while decided it would be easier to finish paint if I included portions of the hatch area and door jambs in my final paint. It makes it easier to tape up and not have a noticeable start / stop point

Can you share a pic or two of your paint setup? Shop air, dryers, etc? 

I rigged up a transmission cooler on the fan of my compressor, it brings 300* air down to about 70* before entering tank. I want to believe that it reduces the amount of condensation in the tank, although I still drain some out of it.
