I've had it twice. It took a while to get over the first time. The lingering cough was the worst thing the second time.

I probably can't but if I can help some way, let me know. You could act like a "Snow bird" and come hang out in my guest house for awhile. :ph34r:

Worked on a couple of clutch masters a little more

Got the grease cleaned out of one. That is actually one pf the harder parts. Polished the bore with some 1000 grit. Bead blasted the aluminum parts

What is the valving at the end of the piston? How does it work?

Does anyone know what the finish was on this screw? Yellow zinc or clear?

That valve is supposed to be open when the piston is at rest (not pushed in) and closed when the piston is pushed in. In other words... When your foot is pushing the clutch pedal in, that valve is closed. It opens by catching on the little retaining pin you were questioning about the color.

The function of that valve is allows fluid to fill the plunger area if necessary, but then close off when the piston starts to move so hydraulic pressure can build.

The tip of the pin rides in that long groove, and when the piston is at rest, that pin pushes against a small weak spring and opens the valve.

Easy-peasy.

That is why it is very important to adjust pedal travel correctly. That valve has a necessary job when initially installing new components, clutch disc wear and eventual minor leaks.

Poor adjustment leads to  reduced clutch travel, which leads to poeple adjusting the pedal more to "compensate" for the reduced travel and the cry for help "my clutch won't disengage."

So I'm thinking I'm going to replace the headlight wires in this harness. I will weave new wires in the harness while I rewrap it. What colors do I need? (R/W, R/Y, R, R/B?) What gauge wire matches the factory gauge?

Also does the Vintage Connections kit have the correct headlight plugs in it?
