That was my concern and I figure the high percentage result is to just use gasoline

Carbs are easy AF. lots of people don't understand them anymore these days... adn toss on EFI

Have them properly rebuild and they will work fine everytime . Modern gas is not a problem, just don't use ethanol based fuel

These carbs are therapy carbs. Done probably ten years ago

Unpacked my ZTherapy carbs in 2017 and bolted them up directly. Didn't touch them then and haven't touched them since. I have run ethanol free gas ever since I had the carbs done and with the "new" carbs I had to do the entire fuel system front to back at the same time.

I did the same thing but then these sat for anumber of years and had gas dry out in them. So they needed cleaning and double checking. They needed very little adjustment

So I finally got back into the shop this weekend.

A while back I was working on reworking some marker lights. Jim Arnett watched me struggle along with that for a while before he said "I have a nice set of running lights all redone if you're interested?" So yes, I'm interested! Jim does nice work and I got them in a week or so ago. I put the rears on yesterday and a engine room light that also came from him.

I also got a new shift boot and rubber boot for the end of the transmission

I also figured out how to get the maxima calipers apart

There is a clip way down inside you need to get out

I bought these snap right pliers. They work really good

Needs some clean up

Rebuild kits come in on Monday

I had never seen a clear lens on the engine room light. Mine is more like frosted on my 12/71 car and it was also frosted on my 73 car.

There’s a story behind that and I’m pretty sure that will be answered in good time.

I was restoring a bunch of inspection lights and all needed new lens. I contacted 240Zrubberparts to see if I could get a quantity discount. He asked if I wanted "crystal clear" lens and without thinking I said yes instead of specifying opaque. So... I have a bunch of lights that do not look like OE and I occasionally gift them to friends.

I don't mind the clear lens and it came from a friend. So it will be proudly displayed in the engine bay. 😉

So it's been two months but I made it back into the shop today.

Spent most of the day cleaning up and putting tools away.

I got a package from Sean a week or so ago

I unpacked it this evening

On another really disappointing note!

The brake system has fluid in it. And apparently it has a leak and was unattended for two months.
