May 15, 20168 yr Author comment_495052 I have. I don't see how you fit a scissor jack on the end of the the outer control.arm and 1) have enough room to spread the ends of the arms and 2) have enough room to get the axle stub on with the scissor jack in the way? May 15, 20168 yr comment_495054 with the bushings out and the strut tube out of the way the scissor jack can then be placed to spread the lower control arm apart. May 15, 20168 yr comment_495067 I have a question. How did you get the old bushings out? Did you punch them out with a hammer from the outside in? Its looks like the control arm is compressed, judging by the photo's. These control arms are strong in cetain directions and in others not. Measure the distance between the control eyes. The distance should be 141mm. The stub axle is 135mm which gives you 3mm for the lip on each PU bush. If you spred the control arm with a jack, make sure its met these measurements.
