May 17, 20168 yr comment_495218 1.2 ohms is pretty good. Â So you have spark ,and you have connection to Pin 1. Â So we're in to the odd possibilities. Â Like cam timing or ignition timing is off, or the ECU isn't getting what it needs through Pin 1 even though it's corrected right. Â I've had two cars that wouldn't start with the tachometer disconnected. Â Is your tachometer installed and connected? Look at Post #45 here. Â Some good timing things to check. Â If it won't start with a good blast of starting fluid in the intake manifold it's not the ECU's fault. May 17, 20168 yr comment_495228 By moving the leads around, you are indicating something is wrong with the timing. Are you sure nr. 1 spark plug is firing on tdc compression stroke. Could be 180 degrees off. Take nr.1 spark plug out and turn motor by hand to make sure it coming up on compression. Engine was rebuild and has not run yet. We have some unknowns to deal with. Its not just: it was working and then stopped. It's something to tick off the list.  Edited May 17, 20168 yr by EuroDat Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/55469-wont-start/?&page=2#findComment-495228 Share on other sites
May 19, 20168 yr Author comment_495331 Swapped ECU with known good unit. No luck.  After swapping the plug wires back, there was a bump that almost stopped the starter.  Timing off?
