1971 Datsun 240Z Series One 4 speed

Datsun 240Z 1971 (Series One) Looks exactly as a 1970 Datsun 240Z.

This is an all original Datsun 240Z with 4 speed transmission. There have been no modifications to this car at all. It had been owned by a Doctor for the past 27 years. This car is extremely clean. Since being a Doctor, cleanliness was his main concerned. You could almost eat off of the engine compartment. There is no rust on this car at all. NONE. The car still has Original Hitachi AM radio. Dealer installed slot mags popular at the time. Power antenna is still working.

Original to the car. Power antenna, original steering wheel without the cutout spokes. Original seat, needs to be recovered, seat bottoms are torn, but seat back is perfect. All gauges are original, with the speedo starting at 20 MPH.

Interior of the car is in overall good shape. Dash is cracked in a couple of places. Seats are both torn. Door panels are in excellent condition. Carpets is also in excellent condition. Steering wheel is missing horn button. Center consol in good condition.

Exterior is very straight. All body panels fit perfect . There is no rust on the car at all. It had been Garaged all of its life. Seats and frame rails are perfect with no signs of rust. All lights are functional. All of the emblems are present and in good condition. Rims and tires are nice. Tires are new. New battery also.

Only flaw to the body is a Dent at the driver front fender at the head light. A lady, backed into the front fender and dented it and broke the head light. Fender dent is not that bad. Myself, if I was to keep it. I would just replace the front fender. Before that, the body was perfect. Front bumper is now dented from it too. Rear bumper and overrider is perfect condition.

Running condition: The car runs and drive excellent. It is completely stock. All the numbers on the car match. The motor has never had major work done to it. The stock fan blade is the metal type, correct for the early Z. The engine compartment is outstandingly clean. Must really see it to believe it. The 4 speed transmission shifts well and still nice and tight. Car can be driven anywhere.

Reason for selling: I just purchased a 2003 Porsche Carrera. Now my wife says all my Z collection must go. Check my FEEDBACK for my other Z’s that I have sold earlier. Of all the Z’s that I have had this one is truly the best of the best. You will love this Z and the original condition that it is in. Feel free to ask any questions about the car.
