Wow, didn't sell at just over 90k in bids... 

 

IIRC, the fund raising effort almost reached the $85,000 goal, and the owners put in some more.

Note this article and auction are from May 2014.

That car has my name on it. Literally. And several others here as well.

 Thanks at least for the reminder of that special time back at the run-offs in 2013.

Ad from 3 Years ago.

Relisted it and still did not sell.

Been well over a year since I saw it last at the track.

Steve Bonk told me that John is running that car at VIR this Fall. You can bet I'm looking forward to seeing him run with some practice time under his belt!

Made the trip to LNA Enterprises today.....Sam's getting the number 46 car ready for VIR this October.

I was sitting next to John when I took this photo in 2013. I said did you notice anything on the paint scheme?

John said no. I said the stripes are wrong. He goes oh ya, I guess you'r right. Ha.

.........and it now sports number 46 again. Another racer wouldn't give up number 46 at Road America last year.

What does the number matter?  I'm used to see the 46 in the photos, but the car number is only for scoring.  Gone are the days when the official number-painter-guy painted on the number just before the race.
