Posted April 9, 200322 yr comment_33238 Ok, I know I'll be changing my clutch soon. So I took my flywheel that was off my L28 motor from my old Z to Top-End Performance for lightening and surfacing. Bought a "HD Street Performance" clutch disk and cover from them (some Japanese brand). I feel it's wise to replace the flywheel bolts instead of reusing the old ones. I asked the guys at TEP, and they said "get them at Nissan" "all L motors use the same bolts. My reseach found the contary though,--------------all 240 up to 11/72 use 12315-21001 boltall from 12/72 including 260/280 use 12315-A8600 or 12315-U0600 and both of these supersede to 12315-42L11--------------Now, I'm confused, I have a flywheel from a L28, that was fitted to a 72 4 speed. I'm installing it to an L24 also with a 4 speed. Which dam bolts do I need? April 9, 200322 yr comment_33259 Hmm, never knew there were so many either.... Since you have an L-28 flywheel and a 72 I'd go with the late 72 bolts...the 12315-42L11's Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/5559-flywheel-bolt-quandary/#findComment-33259 Share on other sites
April 9, 200322 yr comment_33286 I don't know if it will matter, but a build date of 12/72 would be a 1973 Model year 240Z. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/5559-flywheel-bolt-quandary/#findComment-33286 Share on other sites
