Here in the Netherlands were only 240 cars of the 240Z sold..in the '70 .... they were 21000 guilders (At that time one US dollar was about 2 guilders?) !  These days here are a lot of imported California 240z for sale for about 15000 euro's!  Those are worn out wrecks most times!

And yes..it's time to put a good alarmsystem on those 240Z cars if you ask me!

Yes Mart, it's crazy they ask 15k euro here for a 240z that needs to be restored. Alot of people think they can ask big bucks just because it's a classic :( not looking at the state it is in...    A while ago I saw a totally rotten 67 Shelby Mustang on Ebay, and the guy wanted 60k or something, totally nuts !

My kind of folks...

Bart,

I just sold my 75 280 to soem guy in the South of France for $10000, not a con cours resto, but pretty good, probably somewhere between a 2 and 3 closer to a2 on the Hagerty scale.

Well that sounds fair then. But most 240z's ive seen here that where for sale in the range of 15k, all need a complete resto, and then that price is really to much, even though it's a collectible. But maybe this is what the market demands ? Would you buy a rotten 2000gt for 500k just because the market says so ? Maybe.. if you are a millionaire.. but not with common sense.
