Posted September 5, 20168 yr comment_502538 I am thinking of replacing my original metal fuel rail with a rubber hose or else as a modern approach to combat vapor lock. I already have the heat shield extensions covering the bottom of my SU CARBS fuel bowls thus isolating the heat from the manifold. What will be the recomendable replacement for the metal fuel rail that is fastened to the engine?? Any pictures? measures and routing? September 6, 20168 yr comment_502621 I made mine in 5 minutes in the middle of a race. It isn't pretty, but as a test, simply replace the fuel rail with a length of hose from the fuel supply pipe near the frame rail to the front carb with a T fitting and a second hose to the rear carb. Cap off the return pipe near the frame rail. If the temporary fix woks (mine fixed 100% of the issues), you can play with a more elegant solution to accomplish the same thing.
