Does anyone know how do i need to route the wires that go to the rear speaker panel sold by MSA in the trunk of the car? I will be installing the transmission tunnel vinyl trim  and would not like to miss the correct routing of the rear speaker panel. I only found this diagram on the web but it tells me nothing. i think the routing of the front speaker is really straight forward.

Just follow the speaker cable wire, you will need to remove the trim piece on the back passenger side and the trim pieced under the quarter glass, that will give you the access to the holes in the body, from there you can just follow the same route.

i have the MSA rear speaker panel installed already (http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/50-5351). I just want to know if the speaker wires for both speakers need to go under the transmission tunnel trim and thorugh two holes the Previous owner had drilled on the car chassis above the luggage riser trim. Which is the correct and neat way of routing??

The original speaker wires join the wiring harness for the taillights and run toward the front of the car behind the plastic interior panel that Dave WM described that hides where the gas goes in on the right rear side. Then they go between the two layers of metal over the right rear wheel well and come out of there behind the passenger seat in the corner by lower rear of the door.   That is how I ran additional wires on my car, I followed the original path but it is more work than running them under the carpet.  Depends on whether you want to run the wires following the same path the factory did.   Not sure whose car this is a picture of so I can't give credit.  This picture shows a finisher panel removed that covers the gas inlet pipe but the other finisher below the rear quarter window  that Dave WM described is still in place.  When that one is pulled off there are holes that are revealed that assist in fishing wire through that area.

in conclusion the original speaker wires that were connected to the original rear speaker on the rear driver side are routed in the same path as the tail lights? Is there any danger on passing these wires near the  vapor tank or should i route them all the way around from the driver side under the dash, thus avoiding the vapor tank, down to the floor and through the left interior panel? In the picture you provide it looks as a 1971 model and not a 1972.  Any tool necessary to fish the new wires?

once you get the trim pieces off its easy to fish them thru. I used a large wire loom finisher (the kind with a split down the middle, made from hard plastic) to act as a conduit from just under the vapor separator to the last hole on the bottom of where the wire exits the body and runs along the floor behind the passenger seat.

Ok Dave. Just installed the pair of speaker cables through the same hole and fished them in front of the evaporator tank. Any danger of leaving these speaker cables this way or should i wrap them with wire loom?  I am concerned because they are just near the evaporator tank as per the picture.  Am i risking my safety, any posible combustion?

There is no danger from the speaker wires. More current on the lighting circuits...

agree no issue. I put mine in a plastic loom just to make it seem neater, but not really needed.
