Posted April 12, 200321 yr comment_33673 Does anybody know the proper way to remove/disassemble the pull-knob type hazard/4-way flasher switch on my '73? I broke the last one trying to get it out when trying to install a full-face dash cover (that didn't even fir correctly). Now I have a replacement, but I don't know the correct way to remove the knob without braking it so I can install the switch behind the dash, then attach the knob in front.... anybody? anybody? :-D___________________________________________________DISREGARD - I finally figured out that there's a spring clip in the knob itself. Push in about 1/8" and turn counterclockwise a quarter-turn and it pops off. Too had Haynes, Chilton's and Humble didn't have a not about that one, I wouldn't have broken it in the first place ;-) Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/5618-how-to-properly-remove-hazard-switch-pull-type/ Share on other sites

After I read your post I had the knob off in less than thirty seconds!
