I mirrored an S30 photo to see what full symmetry in the design would be like. 

The proximity of the hand brake looks a tad too close to be comfortable.

The ciggy lighter and volume control would also be too close.

The hot exhaust on the drivers side and transmission tunnel is not favourable. Sitting directly behind triple carbs with the window down is nice.

Having lived in Ireland, and being right handed, I do find that driving on the right is more ergonomic and natural in the cabin, plus it aligns with how ships and planes pass.
