tanny Posted April 13, 2003 Share #2 Posted April 13, 2003 Maybe canary yellow with black hood bump? Always have liked that color combo for some unexplained reason. I have to get mine painted soon also, but my son has to make the color choice because he gets it for his 16th birthday. His first car. Hope he appreciates the effort put into it and the strength it takes to hand it over. Made him promise not to dent it for at least 2 hours after I hand him the keys. Have fun. 1 Bravo 6 Posted April 14, 2003 Share #4 Posted April 14, 2003  Had I been in a position to afford it, I would have had "Precious" painted Chamelion Bronze. Depending on the angle you look from, the car can be anything from emerald green through a deep blue to yellow and bronze. The fact that the entire body is made up of curves without hardly any flat spots lends itself perfectly to the chamelion effect. I don't know about the prices you lot pay for a good paint job but way, way, way down south here that type of paint can cost anything from $750 to $1000 PER LITRE. WAAAYYY out of the price range of this old fella. There ya go Granny Zed, howzat for a suggestion ????????? Rick.
TKR514 Posted April 14, 2003 Share #5 Posted April 14, 2003 I gave up. I'm in the middle of a "frame" up restoration and I agonized as to what color to paint (since I would be stuck with it in the engine bay, etc). I finally decided that no matter what I painted it, it would look fine.I settled on Nissan 2003 "sparkly red". I figgured you cannot go wrong with a Red Z:love:
tanny Posted April 14, 2003 Share #6 Posted April 14, 2003 Although...... I remember reading a study done awhile back stating that red was the best color for attracting attention from cops. I wonder if they factored in the possibility that people who like that red color also might have a predilection for high speeds, thereby biasing the study. Have fun anyway.
