Posted October 16, 20168 yr comment_505031 Hey guys, I've been spending some time cleaning up the engine bay (76 280Z), while my radiator is at the shop being repaired. I've replaced a couple EFI clamps and spent time cleaning the ones used for the radiator overflow tank. I've tried searching the net and seeing if I can see whether the locations in the pictures (smaller hoses) are supposed to be wire clamps or EFI style? They are all coolant lines. Any help would be great. Cheers! ~Matt Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/56359-which-factory-clamps-should-be-used-at-these-locations/ Share on other sites
October 16, 20168 yr comment_505033 Water lines have always been the wire clamps on the various engines I've worked on, or the replacement type you're showing. Never the smooth FI hose clamps. They tend to rust shut though, then get bent and fall apart upon removal. Probably why yours has all of those replacements. I kinda figured that but wanted to double check. I have the heater hose clamps, with the rounded phillips head. Now I just need to locate 6 of these.
