It would be interesting to see what the original factory fabrication process involved. Yes I know frustrating isn't it? Not that I could do any better mind you. I tried reaching out to http://www.bolwellcarcompany.com/ which made sports cars in Australia in the 70s that had similar headlamp trims. But I got not reply on the email. I think it's something I need to go into the company and talk to the right folks about though, email doesn't really cut it. 1 hour ago, moelk said: I had to make batches of 100 at the time to get the company I talked to to even consider making them and it was still expensive as hell. Yep this is what drives the price of original ones up. The cost to reproduce is so high that $2,500 USD actually is a bargain in comparison. I guess economics of scale make it possible to do them at lower prices. But in reality how many can you expect to sell? Most S30Z owners are still busy fitting massively oversized wheels and FuguZ bodykits... it might be a while before demand for OEM spec headlight covers is high enough to justify cost. December 6, 20168 yr comment_507516 My thought is that 30-40 sets will sell fast if the cost are in the range 400-500$ then it will slow down to a stop. That's what I think and what stopped me from trying. As you said Gav. These cars are still not there yet were lots of people spend lots of $$ to get oem replicated parts like these covers. December 6, 20168 yr comment_507547 Just in case anyone is interested, and not to rip off this thread, I have a set of nos fiberglass covers that I would like to sell. I do not have any hardware.
