Someone with some ambition may like to rescue this one.  Information is hard to come by.  Can't even tell if there's a motor in it.  Must be an early '71 'cause it appears to be Series 1.

The car is on Copart. I have seen the auction there. It looks like the rear wheels arches are pretty rough so I would assume it has some heavy rust. I would say the engine is in it because the front would be much higher without it...but you're right you have no idea what is under the hood

If I hadn't bought a 1972 510 wagon on Friday...

What did you buy? What is the plan? Start a thread in the 510 forum. We are blocking panels for paint for Cody's "Goon" currently

I saw it CL and the price was right so we got it. I had a 1971 510 wagon that I traded away a couple years ago for a 1971 Fairlady Z. This one is red and has a 5-speed. The original 4-speed came with it. The car runs but IDK if it drives. It came with new weatherstripping and a bunch of other new and used parts. The car is pretty solid overall but I'll probably put it on the rotisserie and make sure that all the rust is properly repaired. The yellow thing in the roof is a spare LF door.

Yeah. I have spare L6 engines and have considered them for the 620 and 510 but it would be a lot of work. I'll stick with the stock engine for the wagon. I might put a set of SUs on it.

I bought an SU manifold for our 510 from Japan. Will try to source some SU's later. Need the smaller ones. Need to get the front end put back together so he can drive it some...
