Hey Ollie, I got my rebuilt close ratio 5 speed from Vinny bedini in Connecticut.  I forget the name of his shop but I can find his number if you want it.  He did a great job; new synchros and runs like a champ.  I highly recommend him.  He's a Datsun god and a true wealth of information.  It was the perfect trans for the 411 diff.  And the original shifter works perfect for it.    

That would be terrific if you have his contact handy...I am looking for turn key from a reputable source so having a plan b is important.  PM me if that's OK with you, cheers.

Perfect thanks!  I figure that since I have to pull down the exhaust anyway for the incoming Spirit Garage kit now is the time to move forward with a close ratio 5 speed.  I have mostly stared at my 240Z for a while during a rolling restoration of a 911 but that car is done so it is time for the "last mile" treatment on the Z.   Cheers.
