Posted November 18, 20168 yr comment_506618 hello all. just joined club. Still figuring out whats what. I just bought a 79 zx. It had been sat indoors for about 12 years. 120k only Put a new battery in it and drove it about 40 miles home. Will not idle below 2000. I cannot find any air leaks, the idle screw on the AFM is fully in ? if I let it out rpm goes to 3000 or so. Before I start messing with anything, does anyone have any obvious things I should look at? The idle is the same hot or cold, any suggestions welcome, Steve Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/56543-high-idle-79-zx/ Share on other sites
