Pomorza Posted November 25, 2016 Share #1 Posted November 25, 2016 Hey mates I've begun to have an issue I'm hoping someone can help me with. My drivers side door locks itself when the door closes, great when I'm being lazy but not so much when the keys are still in it. I took the door panel off this but don't really see anything wrong. Anyone have this kind of issue and how did you solve it? Cheers

SteveJ Posted November 26, 2016 Share #3 Posted November 26, 2016 Yes, there is a spring that broke in the lock mechanism. The spring provides the tension to keep the mechanism from falling down into the locking position. You have to remove the mechanism from the door to fix it. Thanks mates for the response.
SteveJ Posted November 27, 2016 Share #5 Posted November 27, 2016 I need to clean up the garage this week. I know I have a locking mechanism lying about somewhere. If I find it and remember this thread, I'll post some photos of how I repaired it.
