chiefmd Posted November 29, 2016 Share #1 Posted November 29, 2016 1973 240z. Was working on the heater and came across this toggle switch stuffed in behind on dash on the lower right side. Any idea as to what it would control. It's centered and will toggle up and down but always returns to center. I was thinking maybe for the antenna. chiefmd Posted November 29, 2016 Author Share #3 Posted November 29, 2016 Thanks Dave. Where would this had been mounted? There are no holes in the dash for it.
jfa.series1 Posted November 29, 2016 Share #4 Posted November 29, 2016 Historically, Nissan built the antenna switches into the radio faceplate for the 240 series. I've not seen a factory radio setup for a '73 so I can't guarantee this. Does your car have an aftermarket radio? If so, that might explain how your switch got evicted - especially if you no longer have a working power antenna.

Pat Carr Posted November 30, 2016 Share #6 Posted November 30, 2016 On my 73 it is mounted on the passenger side of the console.
5150 will Posted November 30, 2016 Share #7 Posted November 30, 2016 On my 73 the antenna switch is on the right side of the stock radio faceplate although its more of a rocker style switch than a toggle
