kevin13702 Posted December 25, 2016 Share #1 Posted December 25, 2016 Hi everyone I am sorry to post but I can not find my answer in a search in the forum. I have a 1975 that I am in the process of repainting and I pulled the front and rear windows this weekend but I am having trouble trying to figure out how to remove the quarter windows. How do they come out? Are they like the front and rear windshields where it is held in by the seal? Or are they secured with bolts? Appreciate any help. zKars Posted December 25, 2016 Share #3 Posted December 25, 2016 Held in by four pesky little 4 mm phillips head bolts. You have to remove the inner plastic trim panel that surrounds the window to expose those screws. This is the tough part. The plastic rivets that hold it in are removed by punching out the center with an 1/8" punch, then remove the rivet. Merry Christmas!
kevin13702 Posted December 26, 2016 Author Share #4 Posted December 26, 2016 Cool deal! I figured they were held in by a fastner but wasn't sure. I am aware of how to get the plastic rivets out but thanks for making sure. Guess I should have said I am a professional mechanic but only do mechanical and not body work on a regular basis. Car has 53,000 original miles and has been garage kept its entire life. Reason for repaint is paint was starting to fade and a small accident to front right valance and headlight bucket.
