Fair price for a 240Z hood

I have a local guy who is looking for a 240Z hood.  I have several that are used and will need paint, but not rusted or bent.  What is a fair price?  I have no idea what the hoods are going for these days.  Thanks!

These are the only two used hoods I found on ebay

One is $400 ($240+160) shipped one is $560 ($400 + 160) shipped. I would think $200-250 is a very fair price for a clean non rusty hood. I know where a half dozen salvage cars are near me but I doubt there are any serviceable hoods. They are just not that easy to find without rust along the front lip. I have an aftermarket one I bought years ago but it doesn't fit as well as the original...

There is just one in the sold listings $300 BIN w/ $40 for shipping which is impossibly cheap!

Yeah no matter what it's hard to find a descent hood anymore. And at a "respectable" price. I procrastinated and missed out at buying a new one from BD when they had them. I have a used one now that I'm working on (280) and its a nightmare.

loudoun, there are a couple out here on craigslist in La Puente CA.https://images.craigslist.org/00707_4mztF5e5TdN_600x450.jpg

Not sure how desperate you are but maybe the price will be right. Couldn't hurt to call, I guess. The white one looks pretty good with minimal surface rust. Good luck.

Thanks to all for your responses.  Thankfully, I am not trying to buy a hood as I have a few stashed away.   I was trying to figure out a fair price for a local buyer.  However, I think the deal is a no go because the buyer wanted a perfect hood for far less than even what conedodger paid 10 years ago.

oh yeah, duh . Completely forgot that's where you were going with this. I had a brain fart I guess. Was thinking back at the problems I had trying to locate a descent one at a descent price. Prices were all over the board.

It boggles my mind what people think used parts are worth. I get lowballers all the time. I wouldn't unbolt it for what some people offer...

I agree.  Having parted out a car before, it can be a painful experience.  If I were to calculate time I would have been on the losing end! Still, I have a Series 1 car I will probably be parting in the spring.
