I was thinking about freshening up the suspension!

I had a 77 with the clunk that everyone talks about, no clunk in this one as of tear down. Things are starting to come together and are looking farely nice so far. The O'Rieleys master cylinder for the clutch was a touch shorter than the one that was on the car, hopefully that does not matter. Here is a finished pic of the trans.

It's the pcv tube out of the block and the hose that runs to the pcv valve under the intake.

I've seen a couple of high performance motors with them deleted so it's possible but I would run it if it were mine.  I think it serves a purpose after reading a current thread Captain Obvious has going now.

I should be getting my 72 back from getting body work done soon, and pages like this inspire me to get it done right and with quality. Thanks! I might start my own, from shell to runner. No idea how long it will take - I'm in a driveway and I have a job and kids and a wife and kids and a job and wife and kids and job and wife.

I'm pretty sure it's neoprene. I don't think PVC could handle the temperature. it would probably melt.

  Hahaha!! My work here is done.

All kidding aside, Captain mentions something important in his post.  You need to make sure your heat shields are installed on the underside of the intake or that hose will get too hot, turn brittle and break.

Here's the best shot I have of the shields and the bolts.  That red line is where the hose goes and the blue tape to the left is covering that metal tube that goes into the block.

Everything is all back in the car except the piece I showed you. if I recall though the one little heat shield did not fit any longer because of the header I may be mistaken I need to check that when I get there I know we got the one heat shield in correctly the big one.

I had been wondering why you've been so quiet.

Well, a few reasons - we are between houses - remodeling one, renting another, so paying rent and mortgages puts a crimp on budgets. Second, it was just basketball season. But spring is almost here, and things are looking up.
