How much for early SU carbs?

I have a 1978 280z and I want to swap from the Fuel Injection to carbs. I was planning on putting triple webers on it but because of their price tag I thought that it would be a good idea to try with some cheaper SU carbs. I found some that I have a price tag of $375 obo, he said that they were rebuilt a year ago and run great. It comes with (what it think) is everything to just bolt it on (carbs, filters, manifold, heat shield). Are these a good price?

$375 is not bad if it truly includes everything and it is all pretty and functions properly.  A pair of SU's alone usually go for about $200 - $300 depending on condition and proof of rebuild.

If I remember right I bought mine for 600 from a guy who blew up his motor. Custom bored out by rebello racing with a custom grind needle in it. Comes with everything from manifold to linkage. If you can get a good used set with no vacuum leaks and no damage in floats and seals 375 is a fair price. Fully rebuild one will cost 700+ if you send it to Ztherapy.

Obviously you don't live in California or anywhere that has a "visual" inspection as part of the emissions testing. Or do you have emissions testing at all?
