I have always underestimated the strength of those cables. They're tough!

If you have two together you can climb up pretty far, or I use to could. Anyway I showed my next door neighbor's kid how to and the next day she had climbed up about 10 or 15 feet.  Needless to say her parents were not happy but the little girl loved it. Said she was walking on a tightrope. LOL

A few years ago, one of the neighborhood teenagers came around my corner at midnight too fast and took out my neighbors mailbox.. He also wound up on the guy wires with the cable IN the wheel well in front of the rear axle hung up pretty good.  It took the power company working till 6am to get that car off finally by cutting the guy wires.  His parents were not happy.

I accidentally back over one in the middle of the night once. I pulled forward and couldn't go anywhere. Got out and found it up between the tire and fender and my freshly restored 65 Corvair mangled to hell.

I wonder what that bill was! My son ran off the road and took out a light pole. $6K for a light pole.  If I would have known that I would have went and grabbed it for scrap since it was all aluminum!

i was not happy!  I'm just glad he was alright and no one else was involved.

Ouch. That wheel took a beating as well. Glad everyone was okay.
