February 27, 20178 yr comment_513880 I spent some time in a wrecking yard pulling a diff with a finned cover from a 240SX. Opened it up and it was a welded open diff. The cover was for looks. Many viscous LSD's come with finned covers, I believe. You have to remove it to know what's in there. I was testing it around the Oakland airport loop and it's felt really sketchy, due to that locked diff. 240sx seem like a pretty nice chassis, it's a shame people just trash them as "drift" cars. February 28, 20178 yr comment_513964 Open it up and see if it is an LSD or not. It also might have a small metal tag on it calling that out... Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/57139-differerential-id/#findComment-513964 Share on other sites
February 28, 20178 yr comment_513965 I'd wager to say it's an CLSD from a 300zxt. Open it up and check the ratio if it's 3.7 and looks like this it likely is: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/57139-differerential-id/#findComment-513965 Share on other sites
