December 7, 20195 yr comment_588886 Hi Gavin , safari gold is rare I think too . They are not Auction but currently three Z432 are available here , https://www.carsensor.net/usedcar/search.php?CARC=NI_S026&AL=1&SORT=4&STID=SMPH0001 Two white ( one of them 1969 made ) , one orange. And this green car was for sale 16,500,000 Yen at カーセンサー recently. Some weeks ago it was dropped so someone bought I think . The car is a survivor, very original car . I even may want it to be as it is to enjoy its patina look . This car can be drivable easily. I saw it for sale a while ago in GooNet, I believe it was hidden under a rickety shed/garage with a tarp/cover over it.. It looks to have some rust issues, but like you say very very original and would make an excellent patina project. Although Kats I think you want your cars to be of a certain standard so it may be hard to resist re-painting it. I have the same dilemma with my white 71 240z.. which I was just working on. I polished it up nicely, but the paint has many flaws in it. And I am not sure I can resist repainting / restoring the car long term.. it would be a very easy restoration compared with my Safari Gold car and 907 Green early 240z. https://photos.app.goo.gl/H6R4Z7uJ8CHz8LeB8 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/57160-fairlady-432-at-auction/?&page=14#findComment-588888 Share on other sites

January 12, 20205 yr comment_590853 So , at least four Z432-Rs changed their owners with in a couple of years recently including this PS30-00289 . Two of them changed hands privately . And one of them is now for sale . January 12, 20205 yr comment_590856 Looks like about a 3-4x “R” premium over a top Z432, which seems not totally unexpected (assuming of course that the sale is real and consummated). For those with the means who have been patiently waiting for decades to own one before they die, this public auction represented a unique opportunity. If you are pushing 70+ years of age, time is suddenly short. I feel for the underbidder. January 13, 20205 yr comment_590875 Two years ago , 00289 was like this , and at the car show the price tag was over 80 million JPY , every body thought “ no way “ . But why this time it was sold ? I think one of the reason is this car improved its appearance better . Even some parts are still not correct for the Z432-R , but this car now looked more proper, more original. This means S30 has so beautiful design for exterior and interior, designers did great job ! You don’t need to change something to look the car better ( but I really love to see modified car too ! ) .
