Posted March 5, 20178 yr comment_514457 Just going through things on my newly acquired 1972 240z and when I pulled off the air filter housing, it looks like I have a part missing. I'm assuming that it should look like this: So I need the horn/trumpet/velocity stack part that must be a slip fit onto this flange Thanks, Ken Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/57185-wtb-intake-trumpethorn-for-1972-stock-air-filter/ Share on other sites
March 5, 20178 yr comment_514459 Oddly, I have just a backing plate with no cover. I had no ideas they come off. I'll have to dig it out and send you pic if you want. March 7, 20178 yr Author comment_514712 Thanks Jeff for digging that out for me. I ended up finding one locally though that while different, I think will work. I haven't picked it up yet, so I'm not sure whether the horn part is welded to the flange or no. If so, I may drill out the spot weld and weld it onto mine.
