If you had bought replacement hatch hinge boots from Nissan years ago, they would have come with these plates that keep the boot from deforming when the hinge is bolted up.  The S30 Fairlady fiche correctly shows the boot as an assembly while the online parts catalog does not.  The new aftermarket boots available now do not come with these plates and if you're swapping out to new boots, the old plates on your car may be in rough shape.  Note that these are not shims (P/N 90407-E4100) of which there may be as many as four on a car.  These came off my car (I came by a set of new ones) and are in great shape, newly replated, a correct L/R set.  There is no P/N for these items as they were not sold separately.
