Chickenman Posted March 24, 2017 Share #13 Posted March 24, 2017 My Eibach's are Red. All Eibachs I have ever seen were Red. Isn't that their corporate color?
Diseazd Posted March 24, 2017 Share #14 Posted March 24, 2017 (edited) I just got a new set of Eibachs from MSA....black. I have them in 2 other Z's from several years back....black. The Eibach springs really work great, but you won't notice the car much lower than stock. Edited March 24, 2017 by Diseazd
Zedyone_kenobi Posted March 24, 2017 Share #15 Posted March 24, 2017 I run 205/55/15 the car sits pretty level,if I am honest the slightly larger wheel gap is not all that noticeable in most situations
Zedyone_kenobi Posted March 24, 2017 Share #16 Posted March 24, 2017 Also the extra ride height is a god send for public roads and driveways and speedbumps I can get my floor jack under the engine cross member under the spook the eibachs make the car eaiser to enjoy
Hardway Posted March 24, 2017 Share #17 Posted March 24, 2017 In my experience with Eibach springs in the past, the Pro-Kit springs are black/dark grey and the Sport Line springs are red. Sport Line's are usually lower than Pro-Kits. I am unsure if they ever made Sport Line's for the classic Z's.
Chickenman Posted March 24, 2017 Share #18 Posted March 24, 2017 (edited) Ah that may explain it. PO put these springs in quite a few years back. I assumed thye were Pro Kits. Thye might be Sport Lines. I'll be putting the Z back on the road by this weekend, so I'll see if I can stick my head under the front and grab some part numbers off the springs. Edit: Now you have me thinking. Maybe they are Black. In my mind's eye they are Red... but I lost my mind many years ago. Sucks to get old!! I need a coffee.... Diseazd Posted March 24, 2017 Share #19 Posted March 24, 2017 The Eibach springs on my coil overs in the green car are red.
grannyknot Posted March 24, 2017 Share #20 Posted March 24, 2017 I bought these dark grey Eibachs from MSA about 5 yrs ago, I also had the rear end droop that Eibachs do sometimes on the early 240Z's so had to add a .75" spacer to even out the car. Zed Head Posted March 24, 2017 Share #21 Posted March 24, 2017 Eibach seems a lot like Vogtland. They don't actually have a product for the Z cars, but somebody has found some of their products that work. Maybe they get them mixed up at times. There's no sign of any Datsun products on their web sites - http://eibach.com/america/en/ https://eibach.com/de/en

They said that someone had most likely mixed and matched springs that work for our application.
Zedyone_kenobi Posted March 25, 2017 Share #23 Posted March 25, 2017 Your only other alternative for springs only are the Vogtland or wait for MSA to finally get more of 'their' brand in. Their are literally NO other choices. I refuse to run coilers as I do not want to go that far from stock mounting points. And I will NOT cut my car for camber plates. So I will just wait or order set of Vogtland and write up a review of them.
Zed Head Posted March 25, 2017 Share #24 Posted March 25, 2017 I wonder how much one of these companies would charge to wind up a custom set. A person could ball park a shorter spring and add some pounds to rate of the stock springs. Or look around to find Tokico specs. and ask for those. Might be worth a quote. Some have a catalog to browse. http://www.coilsprings.com/ https://www.springworks.com/custom-coil-springs/ http://mwspring.com/custom-springs.html https://www.eatondetroitspring.com/coil-springs/ https://www.centuryspring.com/
